I’m certainly not even close to be a soccer fan. neither are a large number of my friends. However, interestingly enough, we have all got very excited over the World Cup.
The World Cup, more than anything else, has successfully become our key topic of the month, and has conveniently presented itself as a chatting material, replacing the boring weather discussion, to fill in all gaping gaps in any forced conversation. It has certainly enriched us with international top-notch gossips, many "wow"s, many "shit"s, and many more spices. It has, to a greater extent, become an excuse for social gathering, mix and mingle, of course, never short of the company of alcohol.
How wonderful to have the World Cup, even not for the triumph of soccer itself. Cheers!
people always try to find excuses to have fun. World cup is a BIG one
ppl also always pretend to be one of the trend-followers, fearing they would be excluded from networking, which is also more obvious in Hongkong….anyway, the happiest guy must be the bartender and shitty FIFA
